The Initiative

The initiative to start a healthy food cooking competition have been ongoing for some time. While many were busy with clinical and work responsibilities alhamdulillah, today, Friday 5th Oct 2018, we finally managed to slot in this very important activity.

The idea to cook healthy food is driven by SAM team members who believe is eating lean meal. Their performance today was effortless and incredibly creative! The motivation, support and enthusiasm shown by SAM team of the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Teknologi MARA has been nothing but phenomenal.

Grilling is a healthy way to cook as it uses less oil. The charring effect adds incredible flavour to the lean chicken breast.

GRINDING

Asian is rich with its flavorsome herbs. Grinding them together using a ‘batu lesung’ is a great way of releasing intense flavour.

FINELY CHOPPED

FINELY CHOPPED

Mixing finely chopped fresh ingredients is another great way of blending in flavours. Time is key to flavour development.
